Intertek Cristal specialises in delivering management services to the travel and hotel markets.

Our business has been operating since 1996. In that time we have grown to become leaders in the field of hotel and travel standards and risk management systems. Our systems and services are built around two key components.

Firstly, we have developed a sophisticated software system, E-Cristal, which is cloud-based and is designed for the needs of tour operators and hoteliers. It effectively manages quality and risk in hotels, restaurants, suppliers and excursions. Secondly, we fully employ around 100 professionally qualified consultants, who are globally based, to deliver audits and implement improvements in our clients’ premises. Our goal is to increase traveller safety and improve profitability by avoiding accidents, illness, waste and loss.

Intertek Cristal’s sister company, Intertek Checkpoint, works on behalf of Tour Operators and Online Travel Providers, auditing the health and safety standards of their suppliers.

Both companies were acquired by Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, in December 2019.
